Light and Life Church exists to help you know Jesus, love Jesus, and make him Known. While Sundays are a very important part of what we do, following Jesus is a lifestyle and goes beyond a Sunday morning. We encourage you to take a step forward, to get planted and plugged in. It is our hope that you desire to explore your faith. That you will consider becoming a member at Light and Life Church, attend our Growth classes, be baptized, dedicate your children to the Lord. And even greater, help others into a relationship with Jesus. We have many activities and classes designed to help you grow. Don't be still, keep heading toward the cross, grow in your relationship with Jesus and know we are here to support you, help you, and cheer you on!

Child Dedication
Why we do Child Dedication...
Children are a gift and absolute blessing. We recognize that God has entrusted you to be the parents of His children and we as a church want to partner, support, and encourage you in raising your child in a Godly home. It is our hope that they will come to faith at an early age, follow Jesus, and be baptized.
Child Dedication is a special service where parents of young children publicly commit to raising their kids in the way of Jesus. This service takes place several times a year and is the Milestone event for Nursery-Preschool-Elementary children. This is a significant moment in the life of a family when faith is shared between parent and child.
Interested parents must attend an informational meeting the Sunday before the Child Dedication service. Please mark your connection card on a Sunday morning or Contact Us for more information.
Where is Dedication in the Bible?
You can read about what the Bible says on Dedication in 1 Samuel 1 and Luke 2:21. We would love to discuss your decision to dedicate your child, please call the office or feel free to Email Us.

Baptism
What is Baptism?
Baptism is the outward expression of an inward decision. Baptism is a ceremony that symbolizes the spiritual cleansing that has taken place in your life when you placed your faith and trust in Christ and fulfills the command of Jesus. Baptism is an amazing picture of transformation. Being lowered into the water symbolizes dying to your old life without God. Being raised out of the water symbolizes coming to new life in Christ. Baptism provides you an opportunity to publicly declare that you have believed in Jesus and have experienced God’s forgiveness of your sins. It is also a great time for the church to celebrate the change God has brought about in your life.
Where is Baptism in the Bible?
The Bible has a lot to say about Baptism You can read about what the Bible says on Baptism in Matthew 28:18-20, Ephesians 2:8, Romans 6:3-4 and 2 Corinthians 5:17, just to start. We would love to discuss your journey to Baptism with you, please call the office or feel free to email us.
Who Should Be Baptized?
If you’ve made a commitment to Jesus and haven’t already been baptized as an adult, we would love to baptize you and share in your special decision to go public with your faith!
When can I Be Baptized?
We have several Baptisms scheduled for 2023 and would love to help you make this awesome step in your faith. We offer a Baptism class the week before each Baptism. Discipleship
Theology is not just about God. It is also about us. We live out of our understanding of who we are in relationship to God, to one another, and to the world.
The Christian faith is grounded in the love and grace of God, experienced through Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit. The Christian life is our response to God’s love and grace.
The church calls our response to God “discipleship”. Discipleship focuses on actively following in the footsteps of Jesus. As Christian disciples, we are not passive spectators but energetic participants in God’s activity in the world. Because of what God has done for us, we offer our lives back to God. We order our lives in ways that embody Christ’s ministry in our families, workplaces, communities, and the world.
Here at Light and Life Church, we are all about following Jesus. We are about discipleship. Whether that is in a class, a sermon, a small group, a service opportunity. We want to follow Jesus and help others do the same. Keep an eye on our calendar for classes and opportunities to follow Jesus, to be a disciple of Jesus.
Membership
Light and Life is a church, and the Bible uses the metaphor of a body to describe the church: ‘‘For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ" (1 Cor. 12:12). It’s a beautiful illustration of how we’re each created to serve different functions, we need everyone to function in order to be a healthy body, and all of us as separate parts find purpose and unity under Jesus, ‘‘the head of the body, the church" (Col. 1:18). Members are the church (Eph. 2:19-22).
Living out a commitment to a local church involves many responsibilities: exemplifying a godly lifestyle in the community, exercising one’s spiritual gifts in diligent service, contributing financially to the work of the ministry, giving and receiving with meekness and in love, and faithfully participating in corporate worship. Much is expected, but much is at stake. Only when we are faithful to this kind of commitment is the church able to live up to her calling as Christ’s representative here on earth. To put it simply, membership matters.
You can let us know of your interest by e-mailing us or by marking a connection card during services. We look forward to helping make this awesome step into church membership.
Sunday's don't work for you? Let us know and we will notify you when a mid-week class is available.
